(Sep. 7) - Yep, I'm terrible at finishing...
I'm sorry to say it, but it looks like I won't be finishing Solar Plexus, at least not in this iteration. I base this on the fact I haven't opened the file to work on it for what is now exactly a year.
I really regret doing it too, as I like the idea a lot, and had a whole lot of different "purple blocks" already made, but it's not my kind of game to work on. I really hated working on every aspect of it, I'm not sure why. I think it's the chore of building so many levels meticulously, whereas an action game like Noitu Love 2 has much more varied designs that constantly change and keep me motivated. I often go too big, and this game isn't really in the genre I'd play, were it not my own game. it would probably have fared better did I not make it on my own, too!
I will upload what I have for people to play. I might remake it all someday, but I wouldn't go back to an aged engine made in a different program by now. I'll still leave Solar Plexus in "Projects" for now.

Now, I have other projects and ideas I've been working on. I often go too big though... But I'd like to ask you guys to drop a comment anyway telling me what you'd like to see!

konjak, I have a question: I know you (used to) use Multimedia Fusion 2 for making your games - was it MmF2 or MmF2 Developer? Also, why the switch to Construct? Thanks.
I used regular MMF2, hence it says I made it in MMF at the start of Noitu 2.
I switched because Construct seemed generally more alluring and promising.

am not sure but probably opening it at sourceforge or google code could bring back a nice community working around it while u still keeping copyright of the name and some other stuff
also ppl can help port it to various platforms like linux, mac, android, etc.
i've seen quite a few games become quite popular using these methods
some abandoned games revived
anyway your game concepts are really cool and fun
Wow konjak. I think those two boss battles are the most memorial boss battles I have ever played in my life. I played each level after the first boss knowing that the second boss would be just as good. And it was even better. Please don't delay on this game for much longer. I wanna see more boss battles with these creative game mechanics!!!
As painful as it is to work on this game. I feel like this game is much better than what I have played of your work (legend of princess, and NL2.) SO PLEASE, your struggle finishing this game will probably help you financally. I would drop 20 for this game.
Lastly the only slippy control i found was landing on a platform off of a jump from holding on to that platform. Other than that the controls were awesome. Even with this slippery control I was not frustrated the controls at all.
I still don't want to go back to the game simply because it's MMF, and that it's code that's less neat than I'd make it now. Also, it would probably take some time to understand it again...
Hopefully I can make creative bosses for my new projects too!
life is unfair. wonderful music, wonderful graphic, wonderful gameplay, visionaire & original idea, a game that would be a big hit and gain a cult status... but it's unfinished :(
