(Sep. 7) - Yep, I'm terrible at finishing...

I'm sorry to say it, but it looks like I won't be finishing Solar Plexus, at least not in this iteration. I base this on the fact I haven't opened the file to work on it for what is now exactly a year.

I really regret doing it too, as I like the idea a lot, and had a whole lot of different "purple blocks" already made, but it's not my kind of game to work on. I really hated working on every aspect of it, I'm not sure why. I think it's the chore of building so many levels meticulously, whereas an action game like Noitu Love 2 has much more varied designs that constantly change and keep me motivated. I often go too big, and this game isn't really in the genre I'd play, were it not my own game. it would probably have fared better did I not make it on my own, too!

I will upload what I have for people to play. I might remake it all someday, but I wouldn't go back to an aged engine made in a different program by now. I'll still leave Solar Plexus in "Projects" for now.

Now, I have other projects and ideas I've been working on. I often go too big though... But I'd like to ask you guys to drop a comment anyway telling me what you'd like to see!

Thanks, and again, sorry...

EDIT: Please listen, people: I don't hate the game, I hated working on it. That makes a big difference.

The way your game is structured looks very interesting. I respect your way of implementing gameplay. It reminds me of a mix between Metal Slug and Anime. I think you should add a bit more tutorial messages, as the gameplay feels too trial and error for me. This is only my opinion, of course. Good luck!

Please people, I hated working on the game, not the game itself. Don't think otherwise! :)

love the music. how many hours does a demo like this take to make and how much for the middleware?

Konjak, I have yet again fallen in deep love with your work. I was quite satisfied just after the first level! Also, I learned that making a game and not finishing it is better than not making one at all. Everytime you make a game (finished or not), you gain some sort of experience. I can't wait to see what you make next!

Hohum. It's too bad you won't be finishing it. But it's fine. I'm downloading it now, I'll give my comments later. Heh heh. Thanks!!

I loved it, but 4a i couldn't finish. My favorite games are Chalk and Legend of princess, and would loce to play a sequel to either. It might even be nice to see Chalk ported to the Wii or DS.

If you don't finish Solar Plexus I will aim a nuclear gummy bear at your soul......This game has too much potential......

Is there any chance at all of you releasing the music track that plays during the first few levels as a separate file? I absolutely adore it! Normally in this situation I would just leave the game running in the background, but since the sound doesn't play unless the game is the active window, that doesn't really work here.
