(Sep. 7) - Yep, I'm terrible at finishing...
I'm sorry to say it, but it looks like I won't be finishing Solar Plexus, at least not in this iteration. I base this on the fact I haven't opened the file to work on it for what is now exactly a year.

I really regret doing it too, as I like the idea a lot, and had a whole lot of different "purple blocks" already made, but it's not my kind of game to work on. I really hated working on every aspect of it, I'm not sure why. I think it's the chore of building so many levels meticulously, whereas an action game like Noitu Love 2 has much more varied designs that constantly change and keep me motivated. I often go too big, and this game isn't really in the genre I'd play, were it not my own game. it would probably have fared better did I not make it on my own, too!
I will upload what I have for people to play. I might remake it all someday, but I wouldn't go back to an aged engine made in a different program by now. I'll still leave Solar Plexus in "Projects" for now.

Now, I have other projects and ideas I've been working on. I often go too big though... But I'd like to ask you guys to drop a comment anyway telling me what you'd like to see!
Thanks, and again, sorry...
EDIT: Please listen, people: I don't hate the game, I hated working on it. That makes a big difference.

It's ok. Don't feel obligated to finish it if you dont want to. Maybe this is asking too much but... are you planning Noitu Love 3?
I'll download SP and play it now, anyway.
Got to level 1-5A, really cool. The music was awesome and the graphics were really well done. I didn't like the lack of storyline, though. It seemed that I was just doing levels and levels without any objetive... Some puzzles were really clever, I had to think for a while to solve them (mainly the first boss). By the way, was one of the reasons you abandoned it the fact that it's built in MMF2 and not in Construct? Also, sorry for this complete-out-of-context question but... How do you make all those "2d bone animations"? There's a lot of those in Noitu Love 2 and Solar Plexus..
If I could make any suggestion I wanted, I would say try remaking Ivory Springs. You were in the right direction with that project. However, rather than making it a Metroid-vania sort of game, you could make it level-based to keep the project smaller and completion more obtainable.
Another idea to throw out would be a shoot'em up. I'll admit its another genre I'm quite fond off, but wicked boss ideas are easy to come up with in shoot 'em up's. And by shoot 'em up, I don't mean a manic shooter (AKA "curtain shooter" or "bullet hell"). It doesn't need to be hypnotic or intense.
One last idea to throw out would be an action puzzle game. Nothing comes to mind currently.
Time to play Solar Plexxus!
Solar Plexus IS an action puzzler!
And I've thought about Ivory as a level-based game, just feels like the story deserves more than that...

Hola. It's your resident Noitu Love 2 fan girl.
You might remember me from such fan mail
as, "Congratulations," and "Xoda rocks." ;)
I've learned through my own art projects that
sometimes if you can't love something, it
probably isn't meant to be. In arts and
entertainment, putting your heart behind
something is part of the process! :) Take
Noitu Love 1 and 2. The love you put into
these games shows! And it's reflected in
those that play it.
Have you ever considered a colaboration
effort with other artists? I'm not suggesting a
Noitu Love 3 (or did I?), or anything, but if
you had more help, it might make the whole
process easier. Offer fresh perspectives, and
add more depth to your games.
I don't mean to talk your ear off. :) Viva la
Xoda.
I like your legend of princess and ivory spring, They are really beautiful and classical platforming games.
I like to see a metroidvania from konjak, a briliant one ;)

YAY! ok going to play it right now, and Konjak: as long as you're making a game i'm the happiest indie gamer around ;) I cannot wait to see something about the new project now!
Good luck with it and thanks for this release!
Thanks for sharing such nice games, anyway/still. Downloading now.
I had a good laugh at the gesturing agent in Ivory Spring... Not many Internet games have that sense of humor. Cheers man.
Oh yeah, Ivory... It'd love to see it as a remake nowadays, too bad I was the one who got most spoiled by unlocking every weapon... ugh.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to end 4A. it's like, no matter what order the blocks are in it's nothing. So if somebody knows a solution, i'd really appreciate it.
